Fueling net-zero: The future of gas in heat
Date: This event has been postponed
Location: Energy UK Offices, 26 Finsbury Square (1st Floor), London EC2A 1DS
Decarbonising heat presents the biggest challenge to meeting our net-zero targets. Without strong policy to replace 20 million gas boilers, we are set to fail.
Decarbonising the gas network will be a major part of tackling this challenge, and a series of decisions will need to be made in the coming years to deliver a good customer experience.
The panel will review the options for how to encourage, regulate and pay for low carbon gas in heat. Options could include carbon pricing, personal carbon budgets, scrappage schemes, and / or supplier obligations.
Speakers confirmed include:
- Janine Freeman, Director Strategy, PwC (Chair)
- Thomas Koller, Gas Policy Manager, ENA
Further speakers to be announced.
